WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF RED STRING?

Recently, red string has become a fashion trend; however, authentic red string has been used as a means of protection for centuries.  Red string originated at Rachel's tomb in Israel, where it was wound around her tomb seven times.  Rachel was one of the great matriarchs whose utmost desire was to protect her children from evil.  Wearing this red string, at all times, allows us to draw from Rachel’s powerful energy.  Red string is meant to be worn until it falls off and most effective on your left side, as this is considered to be our receiving side.  Many of my friends and family claim that wearing the red string is also a reminder of their faith and an outward symbol of their spirituality.
